When can I have collagen stimulating filler after Coronavirus?

If you have had Coronavirus we recommend waiting 6 weeks before you having treatment with collagen-stimulating fillers.

Why is the wait time different for dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections?

There is the belief that having dermal fillers within 6 weeks of dental work or infection (e.g severe cold, chest infection) can lead to an increased risk of the dermal filler becoming inflamed at a later date. The likelihood of this happening is still extremely low but we should act on the side of caution just to be safe.

There doesn’t seem to be any impact on the safety or side effects of anti-wrinkle injections if you have them around the time of a concurrent infection within the body or after dental work.
